Well, I had hoped to be able to report the divine today, but as of this moment no healing has come forth.
I'll admit I was sad and do feel a little weepy right now, but my faith in God is not shaken. I *still* believe and still hold out hope for the miraculous.
I want this baby to come home so badly.
I wondered to myself, and wondered also if I wasn't hearing the voice of God, on my drive home if this would be the thing to break my faith. If this would be, suddenly, too much bad news. Too much science. If suddenly I believed a miracle was no longer available. But my God did not change who He was in that half hour. He still formed the beating heart I watched and heard. He still breathed life into the cramped baby I saw on the screen. And He is *still* in the business of performing miracles.
If faith is the evidence of that which is not seen, then today my faith was strengthened. Today I did not see a nice round head. Today I did not see God's hand change the brain of my fourth child... But today I still believe God will heal her. I am surrounded by those who believe God will heal her. ..
Two scriptures sent to me this week:
Also, in Matt 9:29, "Then he touched their eyes and said, 'According to your faith will it be done to you'."

Again I say, DR., although there are some good ones. THey all are just PRACTICING physicans. We all know who the GREAT PHYSICAN is. He see's what they can't. I'm glad this did not falter your faith. I admire your strength through all this. Alexis, please know that we are all here for you.
Love dawn
As I was in my early morning devotions this morning, my prayers again went up to the throne for you, Steven and the kids, and your unborn baby Eden as you await her arrival. Alexis, I am SO proud of you and your family as you are allowing the Lord to do only what HE CAN do - perform a complete healing before our very eyes! Your strength has been amazing! Continue to be strong and courageous and know that HE is God! We are all here for you and are standing by. Love - Dave Stade
I SO believe in miracles, Alexis.
Precious Alexis,
Today at church, 9/30/2007, we sang "How Great Is Our God." Unbeknownst to me, I understand you went to the altar. Yes, our God IS great, and I believe He used certain words of that song to confirm that. Although I was not particularly thinking about Eden or you at that moment, as soon as we began singing the second verse, instantly you and Eden came to mind, and then I really listened to the words I was singing:
Age to age He stands
AND TIME IS IN HIS HANDS,
BEGINNING AND THE END,
BEGINNING AND THE END....
When I sang those (capitalized) words, I sensed that those words were for you and Eden...
Time is in HIS hands... He'll show Himself at just the right time. And even more wonderful are the the next words, Beginning and the End (repeated, by the way!). From conception, HER beginning, Eden is in His hands. And doesn't Eden imply beginnings?? And the end? Well, the same God who BEGAN her life, will also see it to completion!
Dear one, be encouraged... And before I go, let me share with you one more thing I recently learned during my Bible study:
"Christ isn't asking us to believe in our ability to exercise unwavering faith. He IS asking us to believe THAT HE IS ABLE."
In Mark 9:27-30, Jesus asked the two blind men, "Do you believe that I AM ABLE TO DO THIS?" "Yes, Lord," they replied. Then He touched their eyes and said, "According to your faith [that He is able] will it be done to you...and their sight was restored."
(Beth Moore, Breaking Free Workbook, p. 55)
Thank you, God, that YOU ARE ABLE!
Love, Jane D.
Tonight I was listening to your testimony from last May again, and at the end of it you said a prayer. A clip of that prayer really stood out to me, and I just wanted to encourage you with a reminder of this:
"...God...You are good, and you know so much more than we do and you have so much better plans than we do, Lord, and when we sit down and we lay out what we think is perfect, God, you laugh! “Is that all? Is that all you can come up with? Because I have so much more for you!”--You say! You have so much more for us, God! And we cannot even understand or comprehend, Lord. Let each of us take a step in faith this week, Lord. Let each of us believe, God, and let each of us listen--even when it doesn’t make sense!
Let us listen and believe, Lord, and trust in You! And let us take our faith to that level--where we trust in You, Lord. And when we can’t trust You, God, let us be honest with You…and tell You that it is hard for us to trust…and let You help us get through that Lord, and let’s stop relying on our own selves, and our own knowledge, God, and just believe that You love us and You care for us, and let us be vulnerable before You, let us show our weakness before You Lord, so that You can make us strong…"
Your faith is strong, Alexis. In this valley, you have others holding you and your husband up in prayer. Trust in the Lord, even when it doesn't make logical sense!
